Barbecued Spareribs

This recipe is affordable and rich in aroma. Spare ribs may be slow-cooked, roasted, barbecued, or grilled.
Ingredients
- 3 pounds spareribs
- 1 large onion
- 1 14-ounce bottle ketchup (1¼ cups)
- 11/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
Instructions
- Cut spareribs into serving pieces using Butcher knife.
- Peel onion using parking knife; cut in thin slices using Trimmer.
- Lay spareribs in shallow 13 x 9-inch roast pan; lay onion slices on ribs.
- Roast 30 minutes at 425 degrees F.; discard onion slices.
- In 2-quart Sauce pan, combine ketchup, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, water, and salt; and bring to a boil, stirring with mix-stir.
- Pour ¼ of barbecue sauce over ribs; roast for 1 hour at 375 degrees F., basting ribs every 15 minutes with remaining sauce using solid spoon.
