A nice idea to taste something different from classic coffee with plenty calories for those who would like to put some weight… I create this recipe when I was in Antwerp few years ago. In the pic I didn’t add whipped cream because I wanted to fit in my clothes the summer..
For the caramel:
  • 200 ml whipped cream (not beaten)
  • 250 gr sugar
  • 50 gr butter
For the coffee:
  • Coffee and sugar according to your preferences. (Mild, sweet, hot, cold, etc.) Although some milk would be tastier.
  • Whipped cream beaten
  • cinnamon (optional)

  1. In a saucepan, heat the cream until it begins to boil.
  2. Remove it from the heat and let it cool.
  3. In another saucepan melt the sugar at low temperature until golden brown.
  4. Stir well and add the butter and then the cream. Let it boil a bit.
  5. Remove it from the heat and let it cool.
  6. In a tall glass (cold coffee) or in a cap (hot coffee) pour in the interior caramel. Let fall a bit at the bottom. Add a little whipped cream on top using a piping bag and again a little caramel and cinnamon. Served with cinnamon biscuits or chocolate.
