This recipe is terrific with vegetables or salads. You can serve with sweet chilli sauce.
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cups canned sauerkraut, well drained
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 pound ground ham
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 3 eggs well beaten
  • ¾ cup packaged corn flake crumbs
  • 4 tablespoon butter or margarine

  1. Peel onion using parking knife; finely chop using French chef’s knife.
  2. Chop sauerkraut using French chef’s knife.
  3. Heat oil in 10-inch fry pan over medium-high heat; sauté onion 5 minutes stirring with turning knife; remove onions with a perforated spoon.
  4. In a large bowl, combine onion, sauerkraut, ham, mustard, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, flour; mix well using turning fork.
  5. Cook for 10 minutes in fry pan over medium-high heat, stirring frequently; the cool.
  6. Form the mixture into small patties (11/2 inches in diameter, ¼ inch thick), then dip in beaten egg, and coat with crumbs.
  7. Melt butter in 10-inch fry pan over medium heat; fry patties, 10-12 at a time, until well browned on both sides; turn and remove with turner.
