This recipe can be served in the form of an appetizer, for a picnic outing, main course, cold or hot. You can prepare it fast and also you can vary the recipe as per your taste, or even what’s still left in your refrigerator. This is a recipe to that will adapt well with your ingenuity.
Ingredients
  • 3 rashers back bacon
  • ½ lb pork sausages
  • 1 onion,chopped finely
  • 3 eggs
  • 6 tablespoons milk
  • 3 oz grated cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 sliced tomato for garnish Short crust pastry using:-
  • 6 oz flour
  • 3 oz shortening
  • A pinch of salt
  • Cold water to mix
  • 1 egg yolk

Instructions
  1. Use an 8 inch flan ring.
  2. Make up pastry, line the ring and prick well and bake `blind’.
  3. Cut the bacon and sausages up small and fry both with the onion.
  4. Beat the eggs and milk and add sausages mixture, cheese, parsley and seasoning.
  5. Pour into the case (which is precooked).
  6. Garnish with tomato slices and bake towards the top of the oven for 40mins at 400 degrees.
