My grandma used to make this very often for breakfast when I was little. It is considered Greek sweet, ( at least my Greek family told me so) , some say it is Turkish, some say it is Byzantine , but wherever it came from, it is quite delicious…
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of finely chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup of finely chopped apples ( Granny Smith)
  • 1 cup of semolina
  • ½ pack of baking powder

  1. Mixed everything well. Use oiled pan and bake on high temperature (350F)
  2. Once , it is baked soak thoroughly in boiling hot, syrup (2 cups sugar dissolved in a cup of water)
  3. Let it cool and serve cut in cubes, decorated with whole walnuts
Ps. Some people use ½ cup of grated lemon peel instead of apple but not my grandma
